Predictive wheelset management

Imagine a smooth connection between measuring instruments and software in order to predict the wear development of wheelsets automatically. The exclusive partnership between HEXAGON NEXTSENSE and BOOM Software enables this seamless pairing of hardware and software.

HEXAGON NEXTSENSE’s contactless CALIPRI measuring devices ensure highly accurate wheelset measurement. From CALIPRI Predictor, the acquired measurement data is transferred to the wheelset management solution of BOOM Software, where each measurement value is assigned to the corresponding wheelset. By linking the current measurement data with the specific wheelsets, historical measurement and maintenance data, and master data, forecasts of wheelset wear can be generated as well as the demand for wheelsets at fleet level.
